Yosuke obtained a Ph. D in Agricultural Science from the University of Tsukuba, Japan in 2009, under the supervision of Prof. Nobuhiko Nomura. He then worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Satoshi Okabe lab at Hokkaido University and in George Salmond lab at the University of Cambridge. He started his academic career in the Department of Engineering at Shizuoka University in 2013. His research keyword is “bacterial membrane vesicles”. He is interested in the mechanistic aspects of vesicle production, vesicle-mediated bacterial interactions, and nanobiotechnologies using vesicles. He joined as an academic visitor in the Kleanthous group in 2023 and is trying to understand protein dynamics during vesicle formation in bacteria.
